Schools Near Me for Cosmetology – Hyphen Beauty School

Hyphen Beauty School offers one of the fastest, flexible, and career-focused cosmetology programs in Central Florida - at half the cost of peer schools. Whether you live in Orlando, Sanford, Apopka, Alafaya, or anywhere along the I-4 corridor, our program is designed to fit your life—and get you licensed fast.

Unlike many schools that require students on campus 4–5 days a week for 12 months or longer, Hyphen combines online learning with in-person training, so you only need to attend school 3 days per week and graduate in 7 to 9 months. Many of Hyphen's students continue working while going to cosmetology school.

Why Hyphen Should Be Your Top Choice Among Schools

  • Half the Price of Peer Schools – $7,995, far below the $18,000+ charged by comparable schools.

  • Small class size with Personalized Attention – Only 20 students per cohort, ensuring personalized attention.

  • Attend only 3-days per week – Classes meet only 3-days per week which allows most students to continue working while schooling.

  • Accelerated schedule – Graduate in just 7-9 months, compared to 12+ months elsewhere.

  • Hybrid learning – Lectures and quizzes online, with in-person focus on practical skills.

  • Bilingual access – Classes taught in English and Spanish, with Milady textbooks available in both languages.

  • eLearning platform – Lectures and quizzes delivered online so your time on-campus is focused on hands-on practice.

  • Access to specialists – Learn from esthetics and nail instructors, too.

  • High placement rate – Over 95% of graduates secure great jobs within 3 months.

Class Sessions and eLearning

Hyphen’s Cosmetology School Orlando is built for students with a busy schedule. Classes meet three days per week from Monday to Wednesday, 9am – 7pm. We are also building a waitlist for a class that meets Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 7pm

Lectures and quizzes are delivered through our online eLearning platform, so in-person class time is focused on real practice with clients. Content is available in English and Spanish, and our instructors are fluent in both languages.

Tuition and What’s Included

Tuition for Hyphen’s Cosmetology School is $7,995, which includes:

  • 9 months of expert instruction (1,200 hours)

  • Online Learning Platform

  • Hyphen Cosmetology Kit

  • All Florida state board license and registration fees

Only $600 is due at enrollment. The remaining balance can be paid interest-free while you’re in school—around $850 per month.

Hyphen is not yet accredited and does not qualify for FAFSA. However, we do offer interest-free funding during your studies so you only need to pay $850 per month during your studies and you will graduate debt-free.

At a typical school that accepts financial aid, tuition runs $15,000 to $20,000. Even if you get the maximum Pell Grant ($6,495), you'd still need to borrow $8,500 to $13,500 in student loans—which you'll be paying off for years with interest.
