Dreaming of becoming a licensed cosmetologist in Clermont but don’t know where to start? Hyphen Beauty School is a convenient 35–40 minute drive from Clermont, located right off I-4 at the Lee Road exit. Hyphen's cosmetology program helps you get licensed in Florida in just nine months, and tuition is less than half the cost of big-name schools.
Whether your goal is to work in a downtown Clermont salon, open your own suite near Clermont Landing, or provide mobile hair and beauty services throughout Lake County, Hyphen gives you the training, experience, and confidence to succeed.
3-Day Weekly Schedule - Classes meet Monday through Wednesday from 9am-7pm. This schedule works perfectly for Clermont residents who want to continue working while attending school.
Graduate in 9 Months, Not 12+ - Most beauty schools require students to attend 4–5 days a week for over a year. Hyphen’s hybrid model lets you meet Florida’s 1,200-hour requirement in just nine months, while attending class only three days per week. That means you graduate faster and start earning sooner.
Hybrid Learning Model - All lectures and theory lessons are hosted online through Hyphen’s eLearning platform. When you come to campus, you’ll spend your time doing what matters most—hands-on practice cutting, coloring, and styling hair; performing facials; sculpting nails; and applying makeup on real clients under instructor supervision.
Easy Drive from Clermont - From Clermont, take Hwy 50 East → Florida Turnpike North → I-4 East → Exit 88 (Lee Road). We’re immediately off the exit facing I-4. The commute is approximately 35 minutes.
Small Class Sizes = Personal Attention - We limit each cosmetology cohort to 20 students, giving you direct feedback and plenty of chair time with instructors.
Access to Multiple Specialists - Unlike schools that only have hair instructors, Hyphen's cosmetology students also learn from our licensed esthetics and nail technology instructors. This gives you a more well-rounded education and makes you more valuable to employers.
Bilingual Learning Environment - Courses are available in English and Spanish, and our instructors are fluent in both languages.
Cosmetology is the art and science of beauty—covering hair, skin, and nails. Hyphen’s comprehensive curriculum prepares you to pass the Florida state licensing exam and work confidently in any salon or spa setting.
