Esthetician School Alafaya - Hyphen Beauty School

Looking for an esthetician school near Alafaya, FL? Hyphen Beauty School in Winter Park is an excellent option for students in East Orlando. Located just off I-4, our campus is about a 25–30 minute drive from Alafaya, Waterford Lakes, and UCF. Our 220-hour esthetics program prepares you to become a licensed facial specialist in only 2.5 months -- and at half the cost of peer schools.

With affordable tuition, hybrid classes, and hands-on training, Hyphen makes it possible for Alafaya students to balance school with work or family. Whether you’re coming from Waterford Lakes Town Center, Avalon Park, or the University of Central Florida area, our school is a short commute to your new career in skincare.

Why Alafaya Residents Choose Hyphen for Esthetician School

  • Easy Commute from East Orlando – From Alafaya, take SR-408 West (East-West Expressway) straight to the Lee Road exit. Our campus is immediately off the interstate—about 25 minutes door-to-door. If you're coming from near UCF or the Waterford Lakes area on Alafaya Trail, you can also take Colonial Drive (SR-50) west to I-4 North, then exit at Lee Road. Free parking is available right at our building.

  • 2-Day Weekly Schedule – Classes meet either Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday from 9am-7pm. Weekend classes (Saturday/Sunday) are available on our waitlist. This schedule works for Alafaya residents working retail at Waterford Lakes, hospitality near the UCF area, or anyone juggling other commitments. Most of Hyphen's students continue working while attending school.

  • Fast-Track to Your License – Most esthetician schools in Central Florida drag programs out to 4-6 months to justify higher tuition. We follow Florida's exact 220-hour requirement—no padding, no fluff. Attend two days per week, complete your training in 2.5 month, and start earning good salary as a licensed esthetician.

  • Affordable Tuition – $4,540 vs. $10,000+ at peer schools. That includes 220 hours of instruction, Dermalogica professional skincare kit, lash kit, online eLearning platform access, and all Florida state board licensing fees. You pay just $600 to enroll, then spread the remaining balance interest-free over your time in school (around $1,100/month).

  • Hybrid Learning Model – All lectures and theory work happen online through our eLearning platform. When you come to campus, you're doing actual facials, waxing, makeup application, and lash services on clients—not sitting through PowerPoint presentations.

  • Dermalogica Partnership School – You'll train using Dermalogica products, one of the most respected professional skincare lines in the industry. You'll also have the option to earn Dermalogica certification as part of your program, which employers love to see.

  • Small Classes, Real Attention – Each cohort is capped at 20 students. That means your instructors actually know your name, watch your technique, and give you real feedback. You're not getting lost in a room of 50 people fighting for time with an instructor.

  • Bilingual Instruction – All content is available in English and Spanish. Our instructors are fluent in both languages, so you can learn in whichever language feels most comfortable.

Tuition and Payment Options

Total tuition for Hyphen’s Esthetician School Alafaya is $4,540, which includes:

  • 2.5 months of expert instruction (220 hours)

  • Online Learning Platform
