Florida requires 180 training hours to qualify for a Nail Specialist license. Hyphen delivers these hours efficiently without inflating tuition or stretching the time you need to be in school. At Hyphen, you attend in-person classes two days per week. Options include:

  • Wednesday & Thursday, 9am – 7pm

Our nail technology school is also accessible for Spanish-speaking students, with eLearning available in Spanish and instructors fluent in both English and Spanish.

Nail Tech Tuition and Kit

Hyphen’s nail tech school MetroWest costs $3,495. This includes:

  • 2 months of expert instruction (180 hours)

  • Online Learning Platform

  • A Hyphen and Young Nails Kit

  • All Florida state board license and registration fees

Only $500 is due at enrollment. The remaining balance can be paid interest-free while you’re in school—around $1,100 per month.

Note: Federal student grants and loans do not apply for any 180 hour Nail Specialist program in the State of Florida. This is because federal funding only applies to programs above 600 hours. However, most graduates recoup their tuition within three months of working in a salon or spa.

How long is nail school in Florida?

Our courses run for 180 hours, completed in about 2 months when attending two days per week.

Do I need prior experience?

No. Beginners are welcome. You just need a a high school diploma or GED by the time you graduate.

Is instruction available in Spanish?

Yes. Both our eLearning platform and instructors support Spanish-language learning.

Do you accept financial aid?

Federal grants only applies for programs that are above 600 hours. Since Florida only requires 180 hours for a Nail Specialist license, federal funding does not apply for most schools in Florida.

We offer interest-free payment plans so you only need to pay $500 at enrollment and the balance can be paid monthly while you are in school. You will not have any student debt when you graduate
