The Skills Behind a Safe Peel

When you perform a peel, you control it from start to finish. You need to know the skin in front of you, pick a peel that fits it and watch how the skin reacts while the product works.

Peels come in different strengths, and the strongest one isn't always the right one. Much of the skill is judgment: knowing which peel to reach for and when to hold back.

What You'll Learn in Chemical Peel Training

The class follows a peel from your first look at the skin to aftercare. Here's what it covers.

Skin analysis

Every peel starts with a close look at the skin. You'll learn to read skin type and condition before you pick a product. This step shapes everything after it.

Choosing the right peel

Not every client needs the same peel. You'll learn to match the peel to the skin you just assessed, so the treatment fits the person, not the menu.

Skin prep

Good prep helps the peel go on evenly. You'll practice getting the skin clean and ready before the treatment starts.

Application

This is where it all comes together. You'll practice applying the peel and watching how the skin reacts while it works.

Aftercare

What a client does at home matters as much as what you do in the treatment room. You'll learn to explain aftercare in plain words, so your clients know what to expect after their peel.

Why Add Chemical Peels to Your Service Menu

Peels give you a treatment to offer beyond a basic facial. When a client asks about tone or texture, you can say yes and explain why you chose a certain peel. That builds trust.

Skin analysis also carries over to the rest of your work. The same close look that helps you pick a peel helps you plan every facial.
